William Goodwin is a native of Seattle, Washington. An accomplished violinist and violist, he has performed and led masterclasses throughout the US, Europe, Taiwan, and South America. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida.
Prior to settling in Florida, he served as Artist-in-Residence at Western Kentucky University, and subsequently as Assistant Professor of Violin at Eastern Kentucky University. He currently serves on the faculties at Eckerd College and at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts while also maintaining a private studio.
An active performer, he performs frequently with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, and serves as Concertmaster of the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra. He has performed at festivals both nationally and internationally, including Orlando Philharmonic Sounds of Summer, Strings in the Mountains, Florida Arts Festival, Luzerne Music Center, The Tapei String Seminar, and the COFES festival held in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
